New Spay and Neuter Program!

We would like to let you all know about the new spay/neuter assistance program we are starting for March! The Animal Friends of North Central West Virginia have been awarded a $50,000 grant from the Peterman Foundation to provide free spaying and neutering services as well as a rabies vaccine for cats and dogs whose owners can’t afford these procedures. In order to qualify for this program the applicant must meet all requirements below:

🐾 Must be a Wetzel County Resident
🐾 Have a valid Form of photo ID
🐾 Have an active WV Food Stamp Card or an active WV Medicaid card. If neither of these apply a proof of household income is required.

Ritchie County Equine Vaccination and Coggins Clinic!

On Saturday March 17th, MVVC will be doing our annual Ritchie County Equine Vaccination and Coggins Clinic. It will take place from 9am-12pm at the Ritchie County 4H Fairgrounds. Please contact the WVU Extension Office (304-643-5200) for more information and to register. You will be given an appointment time to help keep it running smoothly. Any medical questions regarding your equines health please contact our office!

Dollar For Dollar Results!

Thank you to our clients for their participation in our Dollar for Dollar program! Both Wetzel County Animal Shelter and Olive Branch Animal Rescue and Refuge will receive $1300 to continue their important work helping animals in our area! This is the highest amount ever raised so thank you again to all that participated!

It's the giving time of year! Please join us in our "Dollar for Dollar" matching program to benefit the animals! Proceeds will go to the Wetzel County Animal Shelter and the Olive Branch Animal Rescue and Refuge, and Mountain Valley Veterinary Clinic will match the donations! This will go on through January 1st. Feel free to stop in any time to contribute!
